An AI team for business is a group of AI employees, each with its own role, that work together the way a small department does: one handles inbound leads, another keeps your listings current, a third preps the books for your accountant. This guide explains how an AI team differs from a chatbot, which roles to hire first, how the employees share work, how you keep control and what it costs.
What is an AI team for business?#
Most people first meet AI as a chat window. You ask, it answers, and then you go and do the actual work. An AI team flips that around. You hire AI employees, give each one a job description, and they do the work themselves on their own computers.
In Super Intellect every paid AI team gets a dedicated Windows workspace: a separate computer on the platform's servers with a browser, Excel, Word and any other software the job needs. Employees take turns in it, opening websites, logging into your accounts, clicking, typing and filling in forms the way a person would. Every employee runs on the same model, SUPER II.
Put several of these employees together and you have an AI team, or an AI office: a sales desk, a back office, a marketplace crew. The unit you buy is one team: one subscription, employees in different roles, one price per month. We recommend up to three employees per subscription. You can hire more, but after three we suggest extending the limits or taking another team.
AI team vs chatbot vs a single AI employee#
The terms get mixed up, so here is how the three options actually differ.
| AI chatbot | One AI employee | AI team | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it does | Answers questions in a chat | Completes a task step by step | Runs a whole area of work |
| Where it works | Inside the chat window | In its own Windows workspace | In the team's Windows workspace, one per team |
| What you get | A suggestion or a draft | A finished result | Finished results across roles |
| Parallel work | No | One task at a time | Yes, split across employees |
| What you manage | Prompts | One role | A small department |
A chatbot is fine at the front door, when a customer asks a standard question. A single AI employee is the right call when one recurring task eats a couple of hours a day. An AI team makes sense when the work spans several roles that hand things to each other, like an enquiry that turns into a quote, an order and an invoice. Which roles to put on your first AI team#
Good tasks for AI employees repeat, can be described in plain words and can be checked by looking at the result. These are the roles small and mid-sized companies usually start with. Ready-made versions of each are in the AI employee catalog.
Sales desk#
A client manager replies to new website and marketplace enquiries, asks the qualifying questions, logs the lead in your CRM and books a call. A lead researcher builds prospect lists from company websites and LinkedIn and writes personalized emails. Emails to strangers wait for your yes.
Back office#
A bookkeeping assistant categorizes transactions in QuickBooks or Xero, matches receipts and drafts payment reminders. A PC operator moves data between email, spreadsheets and supplier portals, the copy-and-paste work nobody on the team wants to do.
E-commerce crew#
A marketplace manager updates Amazon and eBay listings, answers buyer messages and watches stock and pricing. A reputation manager drafts replies to Google, Yelp and Trustpilot reviews in your tone of voice.
Research and bids#
A tender analyst scans SAM.gov or Contracts Finder for opportunities that fit your business, summarizes the requirements and drafts answers. A person always reviews the bid and submits it.
How AI employees work together#
The real gain of a team is dividing work by role. Give the team one large task and the employees split it into parts. For example, one employee pulls last month's orders from Shopify, another reconciles them with QuickBooks, and a third compiles the summary and emails it to you. Within one team the parts run in turn, with more teams they run at the same time.
- Shared goal, one workspace. Employees in a team take turns in its workspace. If nobody should wait, take another team with its own workspace.
- Hand-offs. The output of one role becomes the input of the next: a qualified lead moves from the client manager to the employee who drafts the quote.
- One report. At the end you get a single summary of what was done, what failed and where a person needs to step in.
Keeping control of your AI team#
The obvious worry is that software with access to your inbox and accounts does something you did not expect. Control is built in at several levels.
- Watch the screen. In your dashboard you can open any employee and see screenshots of its workspace, updated every few seconds, plus a log of its actions.
- Questions only when they matter. Payments, messages to strangers, posts in your name and deletions wait for your yes. Until a person clicks the button, such an action does not happen. Everything except payments can be switched off with Don't ask again.
- Least privilege. Give each employee only the logins its job needs. The review responder has no business in your online banking.
- People handle the sensitive steps. The AI employee does not get around CAPTCHAs, two-factor and SMS codes go to the person you nominate, and signing documents or sending payments stays with people.
On personal data, be practical: check the privacy rules that apply to your business and give each employee only the data a task really needs.
How much does an AI team cost?#
You pay per AI team: one subscription is one team with its own Windows workspace. Hit the limits: take an extension. Need more: take another team.
| Plan | Who it suits | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Start | Trying out task wording | Free, 1 employee in chat, daily message limit, no dedicated workspace |
| SUPER II | Your first AI team | From 1 team: employees in different roles and a dedicated Windows workspace |
| Several teams | Several areas of work | From 5 teams at a lower price per team |
| Enterprise | Larger rollouts | From 20 teams, pricing on request |
To judge payback, compare the monthly price of one employee with the hours it takes off your team. That is why it pays to hand an employee a whole area of work rather than a single five-minute chore. Current prices for every plan are on the pricing page.
How to build your first AI team: a two-week plan#
Rolling out an AI team looks a lot like onboarding new hires. This plan works for a ten-person company and for a single department inside a larger one.
- Days 1-2. Pick one role and one recurring task. Write down how long it takes a person today, so you have something to compare against.
- Days 2-3. Sign up, choose the role in the catalog and describe the task as you would to a new hire: the goal, where the data lives, the rules and what a good result looks like.
- Days 3-7. The employee runs the work on its own and asks only about money and anything irreversible. Watch the screen, correct the wording, and explain each correction in words so it becomes a rule.
- Days 8-11. Click Don't ask again where nothing needed fixing. Payments always stay with you. Add a second role that feeds the first.
- Day 14. Compare time spent before and after, then decide which role joins the team next.
Where to start today#
You do not need to restructure the company to try this. One task that everyone in the office is tired of is enough.
- Browse ready-made roles in the catalog and complete team setups in solutions.
- Sign up free, no card required, and launch your first employee in about five minutes.
- Once one employee runs smoothly, add the next. For first-role ideas, read AI employees for small business.
